enPowerMe™ software
The Edge in Smart Home Energy Control
> "Energy Monitoring" Software that allows OEMs to build advanced energy measurement applications for local or remote, web-supported display. > Ability to provide end-users with detailed energy-usage information for various appliances in the home. > Disaggregated (per-appliance) feedback for up to 80% of a home's total aggregate energy consumption. > Cost-effective solution with limited hardware support requirements.
DESCRIPTION
enPowerMe™ is an electrical power-usage disaggregation algorithm that provides disaggregated energy-usage feedback, by appliance, that OEMs can use to enhance their existing power monitoring solution. enPowerMe™ software is unique in its ability to deliver information about the individual power usage of a water heater, HVAC or other major home appliance. Full usage of the enPowerMe™ software is possible with only a single hardware connection at the meter (or breaker box). All information is captured by this hardware connection and processed by the enPowerMe™ software's Non-Intrusive Appliance Load Monitoring System (NIALMS) technology. Unlike traditional, expensive NIALMS algorithms, enPowerMe™ only uses active power measurement, rather than the transition patterns of reactive/active power.
enPowerMe™ is based on an inference engine that uses statistical time analysis based on data acquired from profiling thousands of appliances during several years of residential surveys. The precision of the results is essentially limited by the exhaustiveness of the list of profiled appliances, and appears in a probability index. More surveys might be necessary for countries not tested by Watteco.
